Malcolm R Edwards
BDS, MScD(Wales), FDSRCSEng, DRDRCSEdin, MRDRCSEdin, FDSRCSEdin.

Malcolm qualified from Cardiff in 1981, and is a practice based Specialist in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. After qualification, and various House Officer and SHO posts, he spent six years as a Lecturer in Conservative Dentistry in Cardiff. He also spent some time in general practice, working under the NHS.  In 1993 he was appointed as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry to the Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital, a post he held until 2000. He also spent two years teaching on an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Programme based in the Middle East, and run in conjunction with the University of Southern California. Malcolm has also been an examiner for the final examination of the FDSRCSEdin.

 

On his return to the UK, Malcolm spent 8 years working as a part time Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham Dental School, and also works in Specialist practices in Birmingham and Shropshire. He  is heavily involved in postgraduate education as a well known lecturer on a broad range of Restorative topics, and a tutor on the Masters degree course at Birmingham University.
